Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) have been introduced to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. Since October 2008 EPC’s are required by law whether you are buying or selling a home, building or renting.

The Energy Assessment will….

• Investigate the fabric of the building and any insulation materials.
• Measure the floor area of the building and heat loss perimeter.
• Identify the main elements of the heating and hot water systems and controls.
• Record any secondary heating sources.
• Assess separately any extensions or additions.
• Note low energy light sources.

The certificate provides 'A' to 'G' ratings for the building, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, the national housing stock average is an 'E' rating.

YourNrg Ltd energy assessors are accredited to produce EPCs together with an associated report suggesting improvements to make a building more energy efficient.
